NCFC GIRLS GALA DAY

Our Girls Gala Day is a fun and inclusive football event designed to bring players together in a positive and supportive environment. The day focuses on participation, teamwork and enjoyment, providing a great opportunity for girls of all ages and experience levels to get involved in the game.

Whether you’re part of a team or looking to join in, the Gala Day is all about creating a great football experience and celebrating the growth of the women’s game at North Companions FC.

EVENT DETAILS

Girls Gala Day will be held on Sunday 17th May 2026 at Marius Street Fields.

TEAM NOMINATION & FEES

  • Team sheets must be submitted by Saturday 9th May 2026.

  • Invoices will be sent to Team Coaches, no later than 1 week prior to the Gala Day.

  • If payment is not received 5 days prior to the Gala Day, the team will be withdrawn from the competition.

Team Fees

U5–U7

  • $60 per team (up to 6 players)

​

U8–U16

  • $80 per team (up to 8 players)

PLAYER REGISTRATION

  • All players must be registered with Football Australia, meaning they must be playing for an existing club.

  • Players do not need to individually register for the Gala Day.

  • Each player may only be registered with one team.

RULES OF COMPETITION

• Draws will be published on Squadi
• Age cut-off is 31st December as per NNSWF
• Proof of age must be provided if requested
• Players may play down one age group​

Match Rules

• Referee decisions are final – no protests permitted
• Coaches act as game leaders where required
• Whistles and pens are available from the canteen
• Scorecards must be returned to the scoring window as soon as possible
• If no referee is allocated, both coaches must sign the scorecard

​

Game Format

• Games start as per the official draw
• Duration: 20 minutes total

  • 2 x 9 minute halves

  • 2 minute half-time
    • Teams must be ready at the field before kick-off

U5–U7
• 4v4 (no goalkeeper)
• 2 reserves
• Unlimited substitutions at halfway
• No offside

U8–U16
• 6v6 (5 field players + 1 goalkeeper)
• 2 reserves
• Unlimited substitutions at halfway
• Direct and indirect free kicks apply
• Penalties apply
• No offside

POINTS & LADDER

• Win (3 goals or less margin) – 3 points
• Draw – 2 points
• Loss – 0 points

Tiebreakers
Goal difference → Most wins → Goals scored

At the knock-out stage, if scores are tied, a penalty shootout will determine the winner.

Grand Finals will determine the winner of each age group.

ON GAME DAY

  • All participants must follow NNSWF regulations and local council rules:

  • • No alcohol
    • No smoking or vaping

  • Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead at all times.

  • All pet waste must be cleaned up immediately, with bags available at the grounds.
